Omega Alpha International
One of the success stories that Omega Alpha has been a part of is located in Tororo Uganda. Tororo is located in eastern Uganda. Pastor Wilber Wabwire is the pastor of a local ministry known as True Vine Team Ministries. In 2002, Rev. Brendon Becker who serves on the board of Omega Alpha launched out with a vision in partnership with Pastor Wabwire to establish True Vine as a Life Center for the orphans and vulnerable children of the area. Over the years the project was adopted by other ministries and organizations which have come together to build the life center.
As a result of the efforts put forth by all of the ministry partners, True Vine Team Ministries has a church building with a seating capacity of approximately 700. The church has three services every weekend and True Vine now oversees 58 churches, most of which have started as a result of outreach to the neighboring villages and districts. A clinic and more recently a hospital has been constructed on site to meet the needs of the community. An orphan sponsorship program was established early on and today True Vine is serving the needs of over 950 children. A primary school has been established on site as well. Clean drinking water is essential for life and can sometimes be miles away for many people living in rural Africa; our life center has a well which offers a safe source of water to the community, helping preserve the lives of children.
